DESCRIPTION:Doors 10pm // Admission £5 \nThom Artway could be a modern day hero from a fairy tale about\na poor boy who owed his fame to good fortune. Or\, equally: how\na sad boy made it from the attic to the Sziget Festival. A talented\nyoung man belongs to that generation of songwriters who\, with\nguitar in their hand\, grow up in the streets of the big cities in this\nworld. Artway wrote down in the opening page of his diary a note\nabout starting his musical journey by the so-called Lennon wall\nin Prague´s Lesser Quarter only to find himself “all a sudden”\non a half year long tour of Australian cities\, winding up in Sydney.\nHardly anybody knew him at home in the Czech Republic\, that´s\nuntil 2015\, when his single “I Have No Inspiration” became\nan immediate hit staying\, for over one year\, near the top position\nof the Czech Hit Parade. Soon after came similarly successful\nsongs Blind Man and Conformity\, followed by Artway´s debut\nalbum Hedgehog released by Warner Music (2016). This record\,\nseveral month later\, won 2 prestigious domestic Angel Awards\nin the Male Singer and the Discovery of the Year categories.\nThom perfectly combines a modern sound with classic\nsongwriting. His folk-pop songs are captivating thanks\nto his distinctive voice and clearly recognizable melodies.\nHe creates a musically emotional world with introspective lyrics\nfor his listeners. He is freely inspired by British songwriters\nand has already set out his path with his debut album Hedgehog.\nThom heads towards his second record now which will\nbe released internationally in 2019. \nArtway opened a few concerts for the famous young French\nsinger Zaz\, shared the stage with Kaleo\, Charlie Winston or Glen\nHansard who invited him twice as a guest to his shows\nin the Czech Republic. In 2017\, Artway became the winner\nof a prestigious international project called Czech Fresh.\nThe victory lead him to be picked up by Mark Bennett of United\nTalent Agency\, a relationship that will give Thom strong support\nfor hitting Global stages in coming years.\nCURRENTLY\nThe prize enabled Thom to record in the renowned Sono Records\nstudio\, shoot a music video in YouTube Space in London\nand participate in European showcase festivals (Eurosonic\nNoorderslag 2019 in Netherlands\, The Alternative Great Escape\n2018 in UK\, MaMA Festival in France\, Waves Vienna 2018\nin Austria\, Budapest Showcase Hub 2018 in Budapest\, Mastering\nthe Music Business 2018 in Romania\, MusikMesse 2018\nin Germany).
